Health segment for April 2025:
Here is some wise counsel:
Ellen G. White advised against eating heavily late at night, emphasizing that a heavy meal before bedtime can disrupt sleep and cause digestive problems. She believed the stomach needed rest at night and that food remaining in the stomach overnight could interfere with needed rest. White also suggested that two hours of sleep before midnight were more valuable than four hours after midnight, further supporting the idea of prioritizing rest at night.
When taken later, it is not itself digested before bedtime. Thus, the stomach fails of securing proper rest. The sleep is disturbed, the brain and nerves are wearied, the appetite for breakfast is impaired, the whole system is unrefreshed and is unready for the day's duties.
You may say but I get home late which makes it hard to eat earlier.
Here are some practical solutions:
Meal prep to avoid having to come home and start cooking which means eating late
Eat lighter meals and then sit up for a while before going to bed (avoid going to lie down right after eating)
Pack a meal to eat while you are out if you know that you will be getting home late
Have a hot herbal tea instead of a heavy meal late at night (nothing caffeinated that can affect sleep)

Prayer: Is the channel of communication between our souls and God. God speaks to us through His word; we respond to Him through our prayers, and He always listens to us. We cannot weary or burden Him by our frequent heart to heart communications. Pr 3.2
We have come to serious times. Events in our world call upon every follower of Christ to be totally in earnest in our relationship with God. To strengthen this relationship and satisfy our emotional and spiritual needs, we must learn the power of prayer. We must plead with the Lord, like the disciples of old, saying, “Lord, teach us to pray.” Pr 3.3
That God is willing and ready to hear and to respond to our heartfelt prayers under all circumstances is profoundly reassuring. He is a loving Father who is interested both when things are going well and when the vicissitudes of life deal us devastating, tough, and terrible blows. When we feel like crying out, “God, where are You?” It is good to know that He is just a prayer away.

A key element in understanding these last-day prophecies is Daniel 2, which contains
not only the historical outline of the prophecies but the interpretive key to unlocking
their meanings, as well.
With this historical perspective as the foundation for understanding prophecy, we are going to study this quarter the theme of how to interpret Bible prophecy, specifically some of the allusions, stories, images, and metaphors that unlock prophetic truth and final events.
